We found out that our third child is going to be a girl and we got started right away on her nursery. This was really the first decorating of a nursery that I have had the chance to do. Here are some pictures. There are still a few finishing touches but almost done!

This is what Cooper looked like when I picked him up from daycare today. They are talking about the letter "C" this week and today they were Cats. Apparently it looked like so much fun that Grace felt she needed to be a cat too. We used some of my make-up to make her a cat face. I am just glad it all came off in the bath tub.

Cooper's favorite spot

Cooper has a favorite spot in our new house. He loves to sit in the bay window in the formal living room and watch out the window. He will stay there for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. I decided to take advantage of this favorite past time today. Tim went out to mow the lawn so I plopped Cooper in the window and told him to watch for daddy. I told him that I was going to go take a shower and that I would be right back. Apparently after I left, Cooper decided to remove his socks, pants and almost remove his diaper. Tim walked by the front window to find our nearly naked son waving to him from inside the house. He had to stop mowing and come in to redress him as I was still in the shower. I guess I learned my lesson.

We love the toy room!

Not much new with us. We are enjoying the beautiful spring weather that has finally arrived. We have discovered tulips and daffodils in our new yard. The kids were so excited. Grace gave me a flower for Mother's Day. She decorated the vase at preschool and then they added colored water to the vase. The white carnation is now green. She was so proud of her creation. It was pretty cute. Well I am off to take my much needed Saturday nap.

Vacation in San Diego

Grace's flowers

Here is our beautiful girl with her birthday flowers. She was so excited when they showed up at preschool. They were even sprayed with glitter. Just perfect for our little princess.

New Haircut

Here is Cooper with his new "big-boy" haircut. We think this makes him look so grown up and so much like Tim!

Oops

Well...So much for more frequent updates. Things have been so crazy at our house. We just finished celebrating two birthdays. Grace turned 4 on 4/7 and Cooper turned 2 on 4/13. They are growing so quickly. They both got scooters for their birthday so we have been spending our fair share of time outside.

We are also getting settled in our new house. We still can't always find things the first time but it's getting there. It is so nice to have all the space.

March update

Okay...now that we have officially moved and are starting to get back to normal I am going to try to make more regular updates. We did move to our new house on March 21st and are finally settled. Nothing on the walls yet but that will take time. Right after we moved, Tim and I took off for San Diego for a little get away. We spent 5 days in the beautiful city. We enjoyed our trip to the Zoo and Sea World. We were blessed to see a humpback whale on a whale watching tour and we spent some time at the beach. It was a great relaxing trip. I will post pictures soon.

Here we go...

What a crazy past few weeks we have had. We decided that we are not moving to Minnesota. There were no jobs and we thought that God was leading us to stay in Cedar Rapids. About 2 weeks ago we put an offer on a house in Cedar Rapids and the following Monday we sold our current house. We will be moving March 19 -22 to our new house. We are pretty excited. Now comes the not so fun part of packing and actually moving our stuff. I never realized how much junk we accumulate in just 3 short years.

Happy New Year! This year has the potential for many exciting adventures and we are ready for the journey. We had a nice Christmas in Minnesota with the Cumings side of the family and enjoyed seeing all that snow. We have arrived home safely and are ready to get back to our daily routine. The kids and I are enjoying a day at home today. Tim is in Minneapolis watching the Vikings game. A last minute decision but a fun time I am sure.
