Cooper- August 2008

Here is Cooper's new outfit from Grandma and Grandpa. What a handsome young man!

Grace- August 2008

Here is Grace getting ready to play with her Dora jump rope. She is getting better every day!!

Pink Eye

We just returned from our Labor Day celebration last night and noticed that Grace was rubbing her eyes. This morning they were all crusted shut! Yuck!! I was elected to stay home from work with her. (No complaining here). I think pink eye is probably the one of the easiest illnesses to take care of. She doesn't seem sick. We just have to wash our hands a lot. Not too bad. I just hope Cooper doesn't get it too.

Healing

It was quite the week at our house. We started with a sick Cooper and ended with a sick Grace. Both kids had ear infections. Now that we have a frige full of Amoxicillin, we are all doing better. This apparently was the solution to Cooper's adjustment problems at his new day care. Now he smiles when Tim drops him off and there are good reports at the end of each day. Thank you for all of your prayers.

Adjusting...

What a week it has been... and it is only Wednesday!! The kids started at a new daycare last week. Grace has done amazingly well. She even went from being about 10% potty trained to 90% potty trained in her first week there. Cooper is not adjusting as well. He has spent the past few days at daycare (and at home), crying or sleeping. It has been a trying time for all of us. The good news is that today we made some progress. He didn't cry as much today and even spent some time playing/laughing. Maybe he is finally adjusting to this new part of his life. I know he will do well with time but it breaks my heart to know that he is so sad! Please keep him in your prayers over the next few days as he continues to adjust.

Our first Blog

So, here is my attempt at keeping up a blog spot. I hope this will be a better way to keep our family and friends clued in on what goes on in the Cumings household. It seems like we are always on the run!

Today is a low key day at our house. The kids are finishing up their afternoon naps (one of the only quiet times in our house). Tonight Grandma and Grandpa will be watching the kids as we have a much needed date night. A fun time will be had by all!!
